An incredible story of two young Ladies with ultimate passion for ballroom dancing who launched a new fashion brand for ballroom dancers in the USA.
It all began with a quick conversation after the California Open Championship in February 2023 between a dance coach and a mom of kids who had just finished all their performances, running around with excitement holding their awards:
- “There are a few options, but if you want a nice-looking dress made from high-quality fabric, you’d need to import it from one of the Eastern European countries,” Victoria replied.
A few days later…
- “Victoria, I have contacted the tailors and the store you mentioned…. Long story short: it will cost me about $600 to get the dress delivered to the USA, it will take about 2 months, and I cannot guarantee the dress meets US dance associations’ requirements and rules. And needless to say, we don’t know how it will fit my daughter.
- “I have an idea! I know a dressmaker in Ukraine who can make a dress for your daughter based on the measurements we provide. We can order luxurious Chrisanne fabric and create the design of the dress that will make her look like a princess and fit her personality.
- “YES! Let’s do that….. (after googling “Girls ballroom dance dress buy online” and finding nothing). What do you think about establishing a company that will sell competition wear for kids in the USA? We’ll make those dresses very special because we will make them as it was for my daughter, with all the love, care, and passion that can ever be put into any clothes.”
-”I LOVE THAT! Let’s do this!”
3 months later….
A new company American Ballroom Couture LLC was established, and a new brand was created; the first collection is being made in Ukraine, uniquely designed by Victoria Antonyuk, the dance coach, and made of premium Chrisanne fabric; the website www.americanballroomcouture.com is being built by Yulia Maximov, mom of those two kids Emily and Nicolas who inspired the entire business idea.
2 months later….
The first collection of ABC girls’ dresses for the competition was brought to the Desert Classic Championship to be presented to the world of beautiful people in ballroom dancing.
Nothing can stop two Ladies who believe in their ideas, know that together they can move mountains, and have no other way but to create something unique and wonderful. As if each dress is made for their own kid, with ultimate love and a goal to win hearts.
